Any site with people on it needs toilets, and usually showers, whether or not there’s plumbing in the ground yet. An ablution block is a standalone building that carries those facilities — pans, basins, showers, change space — and arrives as a finished building rather than something you build in place. If that’s what you’re after for a school, a worksite, a park, a camp or a business yard in Toowoomba, you’re on the right page.
Do we come to Toowoomba? We come to you across Toowoomba — homes and businesses alike, with the same team and the same call-out process throughout the area.

Ablution Blocks in Toowoomba
You end up with a building, not a kit and not a hire trailer. Walls lined, floor sealed and laid to fall, cubicles fitted out, fixtures in, doors hung, wiring and pipework run to a single connection point. The layout is yours to set: how many pans, whether you need showers or just toilets, male and female sides or unisex cubicles, an accessible cubicle, a cleaner’s store, hand basins inside or a trough on the outside wall. It’s built to be used hard and cleaned fast, because that’s what these buildings do all day.
How it works
You tell us what the block is for and how many people use it. That drives the layout more than anything else, so it’s worth being honest about peak numbers. From there you get a design to approve — plan, fixture schedule, finishes — and once it’s signed off the building goes into the workshop and gets built as one unit. It’s delivered finished. On your block it’s set down, levelled and secured, then connected to water, waste and power. You’ll want your site services stubbed and ready before delivery day, because everything else is done by then.
Why us
The reason it arrives finished is that it’s made that way. Elite Portables designs and builds at its own factory at 16 Nans Road, Helidon Spa — a portable buildings design and construction company, building on its own line rather than subcontracting the work out. Each block is completed under cover, so the framing, linings and wet-area work are done in a controlled space instead of half-finished in a paddock with rain coming. Nothing about the build depends on the weather over your site.
What it costs
There’s no list price on an ablution block, and anyone quoting one before they know your layout is guessing. Cost tracks the fitout: the number of pans and showers, whether you need an accessible cubicle, the standard of finishes and how the building is connected once it lands. Tell us the layout and the site and you get a real number against it.
Being in Toowoomba means your block is made where you are. It’s designed and built here, so a site visit, a change to the layout or a look at the job in progress isn’t a phone call to another state — it’s a short drive up the road.
Getting started
Send through what the block is for, roughly how many people will use it and where it’s going. That’s enough to start a layout. From there you’ll get a design and a price to work from, and you can change the plan before anything is cut.
Common questions
Is the building assembled on my site?
No. It’s built at the factory and completed there, then delivered to your block as a finished building. On site it’s set down, levelled and connected to services.
Where are your ablution blocks made?
At Elite Portables’ own manufacturing facility at 16 Nans Road, Helidon Spa — the company designs and constructs its portable buildings there.
Does bad weather hold up the build?
The building is completed under cover on the production line, so the build itself isn’t exposed to weather. Only delivery and connection happen outdoors.
Can the layout be changed to suit us?
Yes — the buildings are designed as well as constructed in-house, so pan and shower numbers, cubicle arrangement and fitout are set to what your site actually needs before the build starts.
